Keurig recalls coffee machine that burned consumers





Keurig Green Mountain is recalling some 7 million single-serving coffee machines behindhand reports they spewed hot liquid and burned consumers.


The unpleasant causes water to overheat during the brewing process. The commerce received 200 complaints of liquid spraying out of the brewer, including 90 reported burns, according to the Consumer Products Confidence Commission.



A note on Keurig’s Web site says hot aquatic is more likely to spew if the machine is used to make more than two cups in radiant succession. They recommend standing an arm’s length away from the machine at what time it brews.


The select includes Keurig’s Mini Plus Brewing Systems models K10 and B31 with a serial number lead with “31” on the bottom. They were sold for throughout $100 online and in stores between December 2009 and December 2014.


Owners of unpleasant machines can contact the company at 1-844-255-7886 for a free renovation kit, the Associated Press reported. Keurig isn’t offering a refund at this time. More details are available at the CPSC Web site.
